Clarendon Primary School and Nursery

Doing our best to achieve our best

The Wider Curriculum

To support the social development of children and provide additional opportunities and challenges to further enhance the curriculum and promote our core values we:

  • Opportunities to learn outdoors
  • Hold themed days in school
  • Celebrate notable events in history
  • Involve children in charitable fund raising
  • Visit places of interest to support topic-based learning through first-hand experience
  • Offer the children a range of opportunities to experience life away from home through overnight, short and week-long residential activities.

We also encourage children to continue their learning outside of school through the completion of a range of home-learning activities.

Sport at Clarendon

We encourage our children to lead fit and active lives, develop good sporting attitudes and a healthy interest in competition by promoting a range of sporting opportunities. These include:

  • Inter-school and house competitions
  • After-school and lunchtime sporting clubs
  • Involvement in school and Surrey tournaments

Extra-Curricular Clubs

We offer an extensive range of clubs run by both school staff and external private providers. Whilst some of these clubs are run by school staff, others are provided by outside. All coaches, teachers and instructors are DBS cleared and police checked.

Wrap Around Care

At Clarendon we offer:

  • A breakfast club from 8am daily.
  • “The Haven” After School Club which runs each day from 3 – 5.55pm.

Both of these clubs are run by school staff and are charged on a sessional basis.
