The Highwayman
This half-term we have been studying Alfred Noyes' classic poem, The Highwayman. It tells the tale of a chivalrous bandit, his love for a beautiful landlord's daughter, and a troop of King George's merciless soldiers.
This week we have started retelling the poem as a story, focusing on descriptive and figurative language. Below are some examples of the fantastic starts we have made to our stories.
